Election results : Congress wins 114 seats in MP, 68 in Chhattisgarh

Election results 2018 LIVE: Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan went to the Congress, while the Opposition party won 114 seats in Madhya Pradesh after several rounds of counting. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) clinched a landslide victory in Telangana, while results for Mizoram were declared and the Mizo National Front (MNF) emerged as the victor.
BJP lost 47% of the seats it won in 2013, and the Congress gained 134%. In Madhya Pradesh, Congress will have to enlist support of at least one of the four independents or of the lone Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate elected in Madhya Pradesh to form the next government in the state. BJP leader and three-time Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan won the Budhni seat but a dozen ministers were trailing behind Congress candidates.|
The Congress threw the BJP out of power in Chhattisgarh, returning to the power in the state after 15 years. BJP chief minister Raman Singh, who governed the state for 15 years, resigned on Tuesday and said he took blame for the party’s defeat.
