In match 32 of the VIVO Indian Premier League 2019 (IPL 2019), Mumbai Indians (MI) will host Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday. Virat Kohli’s RCB registered their first victory in IPL 2019 by defeating Kings XI Punjab on Saturday and they’d be high on confidence with first points on the IPL 2019 points table. On the other hand,
Mumbai Indians lost their last match against Rajasthan Royals despite scoring 187 runs as Jos Buttler’s quickfire 89 overshadowed their efforts. As usual, It will rain runs in Wankhede so both the teams will have to pick bowlers in their playing 11 very carefully because wickets are the only key. RCB is tight on bowlers as they usually keep just enough bowlers to complete the 20-over per side quota, hence, they’d have to bring in some variation to tackle the formidable batting line-up of Mumbai Indians in which a tail-ender can also hit a six or two…

Mumbai Indians team news: Mumbai’s new recruit Alzarri Joseph, who rattled SRH in his debut match with 6 wickets, sustained shoulder injury in their last match and it is not yet clear if he will be in the playing 11. Almost all Mumbai batsmen are scoring runs and the bowlers are doing a brilliant job, plus, all rounders, Keiron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya are their true assets, yet the side tend to leak 15-20 runs here and there during middle overs and it haunts them heavily during death overs.
Mumbai cannot always depend on Jasprit Bumrah alone to save them during death overs, and even though Hardik, Krunal are effective in picking wickets, the side ends up missing one or two weak points unchecked. Mumbai may bring Lasith Malinga in playing 11 if Alzarri Joseph is not fit and if that happens, they’d two two death over specialists. Moreover, they know RCB is heavily depended on skipper Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers and if they get an early breakthrough, the side can collapse quickly…

The dubious rejection of Buttler has spellbound the cricket world, with certain fans and previous cricketers marking Ashwin’s demonstration disreputable and against the soul of the diversion, and others protecting it as it is for sure a ligitimate approach to expel a batsman as indicated by cricket rule books. Additionally, this isn’t the first occasion when that mankading has been related with Ashwin and Buttler..

All eyes will be on Steve Smith as returns to the IPL fold after the ball-tampering row kept him away from the field last year. Smith was handed a one-year ban, along with his then-deputy David Warner, exactly a year ago, for their role in a ball-tampering scandal in South Africa.
Smith was last seen in action in a couple of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) matches late last year before an elbow injury ruled him out of the tournament. The ban was limited to state and international fixtures only and not domestic or club cricket. The IPL this time is expected to be the actual start of his long road to redemption, and Smith will be looking to make the most of this opportunity ahead of the World Cup, starting May 30 in England. Smith, though, is yet to recover fully from his elbow injury and may take some time to get back into the groove.
Rajasthan Royals team news
With Smith in their ranks, the Royals have one of the best teams this season led by Ajinkya Rahane and they would be eager to capitalise on the home advantage tomorrow.
British all-rounder Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler are also important assets for the team, but they will not be available after April 25 under a diktat from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) because of the World Cup. Rajasthan would be keen to win enough matches before they leave for national duty…

Earlier, Rishabh Pant blazed away to an unbeaten 27-ball 78 and powered Delhi Capitals to a mammoth 213 for six against Mumbai Indians in their Indian Premier League opener. Pant raced to his half century in 18 balls, hitting seven towering sixes and as many fours at the Wankhede Stadium, which looked too small for the Delhi dazzler.
Just 21, Pant smashed the world’s best fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, for a few sixes as well. Pant, playing his natural game, mercilessly punished the Mumbai bowlers after South African Colin Ingram (47 off 32 balls 7×4, 1×6) and Shikhar Dhawan (43 off 36 balls; 4×4; 1×6) pulled the visitors out of the rubble and laid the foundation of a big total with their 83-run stand for the third wicket.
The young wicketkeeper was brutal on Hardik Pandya, whom he hammered for two sixes and a four in the 16th over to start the destruction and then spared none. He struck two sixes and a four off debutant Rasikh Salam in the 19th over. Pant was also brutal on death overs specialist Bumrah. Rahul Tewatia complimented the stumper with 9 not out.
Earlier, the duo of Dhawan and Ingram rallied the Delhi innings after they lost two quick wickets — Prithvi Shaw (7) and skipper Shreyas Iyer (16) — inside the first four overs and also took the Mumbai attack to cleansers. Ingram upped the ante in the eighth over slashing Hardik for a four and then a six. But Ben Cutting gave Mumbai the much-needed breakthrough as he removed Ingram, who was caught by Hardik in the 13 over.
