BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has praised India’s brave batting in the last T20I against the West Indies which they won by 67 hurries to secure the three-coordinate arrangement 2-1. “Very few anticipated that India should lose an arrangement … win was not a shock… what will stand apart is the valiant batting which all will see in T20 now… play unafraid… nobody plays for his place yet plays to win…well done India,” previous India skipper Ganguly tweeted on Thursday morning.

KL Rahul top-scored with a staggering 56-ball 91 and shared a 135-run opening stand with Rohit Sharma (71) as India traveled to triumph and won the arrangement 2-1, riding on their overwhelming aggregate of 240/3. Captain Virat Kohli too got the gathering together with an unbeaten 70 that fell off only 29 balls. In answer, the West Indies could oversee just 173/8 in spite of captain Pollard’s 39-ball 68.

India are presently planned to play a three-coordinate ODI arrangement against West Indies starting Sunday in Chennai. From that point onward, they will play three T20Is against Sri Lanka toward the beginning of January one year from now….

The return of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar has intensified Indian pace attack while youngster Khaleel Ahmed also found his form in the 4th ODI where he picked three key wickets and dismantled West Indies batting. For West Indies, Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope have impressed the most with a century each while captain Jason Holder has been an obstacle for Indian bowlers. In the bowlinng department, the visitors are yet to find a go-to man. It would be interesting to see if West Indies could pull a face-saver today as India have not much worries with their key things at place.

Shaw did not waste any time and looked set on the crease right from the start, with the help of well-executed shots, he reached his fifty on his debut.

On his debut, Prithvi Shaw came out with all guns blazing. The youngster kept hitting the ball and with his strike rate, it looked as if he was playing an ODI.

Pujara, in his usual style, took time to settle but was soon seen accompanying Shaw in grabbing runs from wherever they came.

In the bowling department, barring Shannon Gabriel’s first spell, no other bowler could do much. 

Earlier, West Indies batsman Kraigg Brathwaite, who came out for the toss in place of regular skipper Jason Holder, confirmed that the latter would not play in the match due to an ankle injury.

“Jason Holder is not playing, he’s got a slight ankle injury so he’s resting. Would’ve batted as well, we’re quite happy nonetheless,” said Brathwaite.
