Pakistan hires scandal-tainted former American lawmaker as US lobbyist

Amid a controversy surrounding a pedophile ring and a financial scandal, the former Congressman had announced in 2008 that he would not run for a sixth term

International News: The Embassy of Pakistan here has enlisted the administrations of a previous American administrator as a lobbyist, who had left the House of Representatives in the midst of an embarrassment.
On Saturday, Pakistan’s US envoy Majeed Khan marked an agreement with previous Republican Congressman Tom Reynolds, speaking to Holland and Knight campaigning firm, to propel Pakistan’s interests in the US. Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was available during the marking service at the Embassy.
“Joining previous Congressman Reynolds will be a group including other previous individuals from Congress, previous senior Administration authorities, state house Hill veterans and other expert specialists,” the Embassy said in a media discharge. Reynolds spoke to New York’s 26th Congressional District for about 10 years from 1999 to 2009.
In the midst of a furious contention encompassing a pedophile ring, and monetary embarrassment including National Republican Congressional Committee, he reported on March 20, 2008 that he won’t keep running for a 6th term. Around then, he was the fourth most dominant Republican Congressman in the House of Representatives.
